THE MODELS
All of the models you see for sale on this website were built by me. I have been building all types of models for over 15 years was President of my local IPMS chapter in 2005. The models are built from the highly detailed and accurate plastic models manufactured by companies such as Tamiya, Hasegawa, and Trumpeter to name a few. In addition, I use aftermarket resin accessories to enhance the level of detail such as wheels, tires, seats, and exhaust stacks. Also, decal schemes are used from the vast list of companies producing aftermarket Mustang markings. I have built Mustangs for museums and for the Connecticut National Guard’s historical display. I research each aircraft and spend an average of 20-25 hours on each model.
"Hi Len, the model arrived in great condition. I love the details with those small decal packages and the color scheme is right on. The presentation plaque with the pilot photo is a very nice touch."
-Testimonial from buyer Dan Cather, June 2006
A NOTE ON SCALE:
The models are built to a scale usually stated as a ratio like 1:48. This means in rough terms the model is 1/48 the size of the original. Most of the models for sale are either 1/48 or 1/72. In terms of dimensions, a 1/48 scale P-51 model has a wingspan of about 9 inches and a length of about 8 inches. A 1/72 scale model of a P-51 has about a 4 ½ inch wingspan and is about 4 inches long.
DISPLAY BASES:
Most of the models for sale are placed on a sanded and stained basswood base and a full color nameplate is printed on photo paper and attached to the base. The info covers scale, pilot, unit, and time period.

Hi Len,
The model arrived in perfect condition and my dad just loved it! Both he and my mom really want to thank you for sending it to him. Attached are a couple pictures of dad with the model and a photo of his medals that we have on the wall in his study.
